Aman Resorts are extraordinary
Aman’s vision has always been to create an experience that goes beyond the best hotel or resort experience. Staying with Aman is akin to being a guest at the incredible private home of a wonderful friend and they create environments that take their guests out of their everyday lives, beyond commonplace notions of luxury and into a state of uncomplicated serenity. With 33 resorts in 20 countries (soon to be 40 in 22 countries), Aman’s awe inspiring collection continues to drive a new kind of luxury travel whilst retaining simplicity, elegance and sensitivity to the diverse and natural surroundings of each unique resort. Here we have highlighted a few of our favourite Aman’s around the world.
Amanzoe – Greece
Set in a land of classical ruins and olive groves overlooking sparkling azure seas, Amanzoe is beautifully positioned on a peninsula of the Peloponnese. We love the fact that Amanzoe gracefully showcases the architecture and soul of Ancient Greece whilst warmly welcoming guests in the resort’s spacious pavilions and villas. After landing in Athens the journey by car will take about 2.5 hours or if you choose a helicopter transfer, just 30 minutes.
The private Beach Club is a short distance away and neighbouring islands are there to be explored however you may just choose to relax in the peace and tranquillity of Amanzoe.
Amanruya – Turkey
Amanruya, meaning ‘peaceful dream’, rests on a quiet hillside on the northern coast of the Bodrum Peninsula. Each individual guest pavilion enjoys its own private pool and dining pergola and the village feel of the resort offers an abundance of space. Sightseeing, watersports and gourmet picnics are all part of the daily offering at Amanruya as are the courtyards and terraces cascading to a private pebble beach. Amanruya is a truly beautiful resort and you will leave having enjoyed a truly special stay.
Utter tranquillity and quiet prevails at Amanruya.
Aman New York – USA
Aman New York will promise a luxurious sanctuary in the heart of Manhattan when it opens later this year. This is an exciting addition to the New York luxury hotel scene.
Embracing its city location, Aman New York will retain the serenity expected of the Aman brand. The hotel will occupy The Crown Building, formerly the first home of Museum of Modern Art, which has been fully restored and infused with the Aman philosophy. Guests can experience a year-round garden terrace, several fine-dining venues, including Arva by Aman New York, Nama by Aman New York and the Lounge Bar and a Jazz Club. A serene three-story Aman Spa offers a combination of holistic approach to all-round wellbeing. Of course there’s the entire city of New York to be explored.
Amanera – Dominican Republic
Yet again, Aman has secured an incredible location for the brand’s second Caribbean resort; Amanera perches on the clifftop between jungle and the sparkling Atlantic along the pristine north coast of the Dominican Republic. We love the 24 contemporary yet locally inspired casitas, many with their own private pools, which sit above the sands of the Playa Grande, enjoying views of the ocean. The resort very much holds the Caribbean at its heart with back to nature experiences alongside adrenaline inducing watersports and sophisticated beach luxury.
Rosa Alpina, an Aman partner hotel – Dolomites
We are thrilled that the beautiful Rosa Alpina is now part of the Aman family. Discreet and glamourous, family run Rosa Alpina makes the perfect Aman partner hotel.
Rosa Alpina is located in the heart of San Cassiano, in the spectacular UNESCO-protected Dolomites. Outdoor pursuits during the summer and autumn and the spectacular Dolomiti Superski during the winter months make the Rosa Alpina a year round destination.
Exceptional facilities and the Michelin starred restaurant are of course an attraction however what we particularly like is the unparalleled homely, yet sophisticated, feel of the hotel.
Having visited many of the Aman resorts, our far reaching knowledge will help you decide which Aman is for you. We are always delighted to hear from so do get in touch.
