Meet the family
We are lucky enough to have an extremely experienced, well travelled and dedicated team at Sovereign Travel. Each member of our team is an expert at arranging specialist journeys tailormade to the individual traveller.
Jackie has over 40 years’ travel experience. She has been part of the Sovereign family for 15 years. Having travelled extensively Jackie names Mauritius, Sri Lanka, the Caribbean and the Maldives as her specialist destinations and loves sharing her knowledge with clients old and new. Demonstrating her hunger to find the latest hot spot and keep up with the ever changing travel world, Jackie loves discovering hotels that have recently opened in favourite destinations. She also loves visiting established properties which have been redeveloped and given a new lease of life. Jackie’s travels in 2019 have included journeys to Bali and Kalkan as well as a Silversea cruise around the glorious Mediterranean. Not stopping there, Jackie has also visited the iconic Cipriani in Venice and enjoyed a journey from Venice to Budapest aboard the iconic Orient Express. A trip to Kefalonia is next on the cards for Jackie.
Pauline has a wealth of experience in travel having been also been arranging holidays for over 40 years. Pauline has gained a vast range of knowledge and enjoys the continuous education that worldwide travel delivers. One of her favourite destinations is Africa, due in no small part to the humbling and exhilarating experience of spotting wildlife in their own natural habitat. A real travel highlight for Pauline, however, was visiting Peru and the Amazon last year. In 2019, Pauline has further expanded her already extensive library of knowledge by travelling to the foothills of the Himalayas in India. By the end of the year, she will also have visited Chiang Mai and Khao Lak in Thailand as well as Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans.
Last but by no means least is Jeanne, who has been running Sovereign Travel for over 20 years and continues to inspire her small team. Jeanne is extremely knowledgeable and well travelled and oversees the whole operation. She also personally handling client itineraries. Jeanne particularly loves the quiet side of Ibiza and the inland villages of the South of France. She prefers areas that retain their original character and are relatively untouched by mass tourism. On recent trips, she was captured by the overwhelming natural beauty of Chile and the dramatic landscapes of New Zealand. For a ‘fly and flop’ break her first choice would be the Caribbean island of Anguilla but not because the island has the most impressive sights or because it’s the place to be seen. Anguilla offers a quiet understated charm and has outlived the ravages of hurricanes and the passage of time.
We would all love to hear from you and chat about where you would like to travel to next so please do get in touch.
